Twin Cities vocalist Prudence Johnson & pianist Dan Chouinard along with violinist Randy Sabien present a tribute to one of the great songwriters of the 20th Century: George Gershwin. The trio will present “Gershwin!” at 7 pm Saturday, Feb. 28 on the beautiful Sacred Heart altar stage. No other composer captured the spirit and energy of 20th Century America better than George Gershwin. In his tragically short lifetime, he produced masterpieces like “Rhapsody in Blue,” “An American in Paris,” “Porgy and Bess” and beloved songs like “Summertime,” “I Got Rhythm,” “Someone to Watch Over Me” and more. Johnson, Chouinard and Sabien bring gentle virtuosity and playful invention to his songs and stage. Sit back and enjoy the the night.
