First shmup clear of the year. The rank in Batrider isn't nearly as harsh as Garegga. In fact, it's lenient enough to where you can actually do a NMNB(no miss no bomb) run. Extends are what jacks up rank the most. However, you can set up for a Special Extend, which will give you back all your lives and only increase rank by 3%. I believe it requires you to drop three extends off screen and have one life left to trigger it. Scoring seems fun but I got turn off by it after seeing a few high score runs. This game has a lot of bosses, and you need to milk almost all of them which extends the game's length to an hour long. Went with Strawman because he's a nice all-rounder ship. Shorty was too slow despite her options being super strong and while Maria has good speed, she felt a little too weak for my liking so I went with the middle of the road ship. Didn't mess around with different ship combinations because they trigger more bosses to fight.
