I vlogged my first attempt at a full thanksgiving dinner. I created the menu by searching for paleo-friendly recipes to make sure it was gut-friendly. TIPS This was a major learning experience, and here is how I would do it next time: 1. Prepare the pumpkin pie, biscuits, and anything else that doesn't need to be served warm the day before. 2. The butternut, Brussel sprouts, and sweet potato dish all require roasting time before you combine them with the rest of the ingredients, and bake them again. I recommend doing this first round of roasting in the morning before the turkey. 3. Prepare the turkey (3-5 hours depending on the side) 4. While the turkey is roasting, prepare everything that needs to be done on the stovetop. 5. Once the turkey is done, remove it from the oven and let it sit for 20-25 minutes. 6. In the meantime, finish off all of the sides that require more cooking time. If you are hosting a large group, I would kindly ask my guests to bring some desserts/side dishes and if you have 2 ovens, you may be able to pull this off in one day only.
