Details of the tour, description and navigation data for this tour can be found below in the video details. ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ 🚴‍♂️ MTB Loop Around the Kaltenleutgebener Valley – Josefswarte, Kugelwiese & Höllenstein This MTB loop starts in Gießhübl and takes you counter-clockwise around the Kaltenleutgebener Valley, offering constant views and several classic Vienna Woods highlights. After a steady climb you pass the well-known Salzstang’l Wirt on the Kugelwiese—perfect for a short break—before continuing towards the Kammersteinerhütte and the impressive Josefswarte with its full 360° panorama. Further along the ridge, the Teufelsteinhütte and the Franz-Ferdinand-Hütte offer more great viewpoints and a relaxed atmosphere. The original route crosses the private grounds of Kollegium Kalksburg, but cycling through is not allowed. This tour therefore follows the official public cycling path around the area. Later, the trail leads to the Höllenstein lookout tower, with wide views stretching from Baden and the Anninger region to the Schneeberg—and even the distant Bad Deutsch-Altenburg quarry on clear days. A scenic and rewarding loop for MTB and E-MTB riders.
