Watch the probe find the X, Y, and Z offset for the part. Then the program continues, drilling, then helical interpolate a tapered bore using a custom tapered endmill. Tolerance for the top diameter of the hole is +0 -.001" After the finish cut, air blasts off coolant and chips to measure the top of the hole. An adjustment is made to the tool radius comp, and if needed, the program backs up to the last tool (finishing cutter) to re-cut the hole. Once the hole is in a specified tolerance, the program then continues to the end. After the program is run through this "setup" mode, the probe will make adjustments to the tool radius comp as needed. If the hole is out of tolerance, the machine will alarm and stop. On a toolchange to the probe, it will be activated with G65 P9832. Rapid codes are replaced with "protected" moves for the probe. (using G65 P9810) Single surface measuring is done with G65 P9811. Diameter measuring with G65 P9814. Finally, before the probe is changed for another tool, it will run G65 P9833 to turn it off. No manual edits were done to produce all the required code. It's all programmed directly in Surfcam. My MPost template generates all the required macros.
