Firstly, I would like to apolgise for the wind noise in this video. On the day of filming, there were gale force winds blowing and the East Anglian Railway Museum location is fairly high up and exposed. Plans are being made to modify the camera for future videos to reduce this additional noise. No prizes for guessing which Thomas the Tank Engine Character this locomotive was presenting as! The W G Bagnall Works No.2542 0-4-0ST "Jubilee" is such a beautiful engine, which suits this museums demonstration line perfectly! I do have somewhat of a soft spot for this locomotive, as I have had experience with its sister locomotive W G Bagnall Works No. 2565 "Nick" back when it was steaming at the Mid-Suffolk Light Railway, so riding on the footplate of "Jubilee" was somewhat nostalgic. The East Anglian Wailway Museum has a 3/4 mile running line, stretching between the Chappel Viaduct and the Spring Gardens Road Bridge. This was the first time I had ridden in a freight wagon and it felt so much more inkeeping with the goods yard setting, compared to the usual passenger stock. The freight load of course making for a very idellic looking rake behind "Jubilee". The train rides on the day of steam were running every half an hour between 11am and 4pm, with each ride consisting of 2 trips up and down the line. Admission cost £15 for an adult ticket which included unlimited train rides on both the Standard Demonstration Line, the 7"1/4 inch Demonstration Line, and access to the wide range of museum exhibits and static displays on offer! Please note that the museum hall has since been rebuilt and 2 new sheds are now in place to house the vast amount of rolling stock. • East Anglian Railway Museum For the history of this beautiful locomotive, please follow the link below: https://preservedbritishsteamlocomoti... I would also like to say a huge thank you to the staff at the East Anglian Railway Museum for being so helpful and say how amazing it is to see a group of young people so involved in a Heritage Railway operation. They did an absolutely amazing job of signalling, driving, firing and cleaning which gave the museum the feeling of ambition and drive to stay strong in the future years! Music: .
