Today’s project is one of those techniques that makes you say… why didn’t I try this sooner? We are creating a Napkin Card, and this is such a fun, easy, and beginner-friendly way to make beautiful handmade cards without needing a lot of stamping or complicated supplies. If you love patterned paper, vintage images, or seasonal napkins, this technique opens up so many creative possibilities. In this video, I’ll show you how to turn a simple decorative napkin into a gorgeous focal point for your handmade card. These Easter cards feature sweet chicks, bunnies, and soft spring colors, but the best part is that this idea works for any holiday, any season, and any occasion. Once you learn the napkin card technique, you’ll start looking at every pretty napkin and thinking… that would make a great card! This is a perfect project if you: • Want quick handmade cards that still look detailed • Have napkins at home you’d love to use for crafting • Enjoy simple techniques with big results • Need easy cards for Easter, spring, or gifts • Like beginner-friendly card making ideas The napkin technique is great because the design is already done for you. The artwork, shading, and colors are built right into the napkin, so all you have to do is transfer it onto cardstock and build your layers. It’s one of those methods that gives you a beautiful finished card without a lot of fuss… and we all love that. In today’s cards, I paired the napkin images with soft gingham designer paper and bright yellow cardstock to give them a cheerful spring look. A simple sentiment strip finishes the card without covering up the pretty image. This layout is easy to repeat, which makes it perfect when you need multiple cards. If you’re newer to card making, this is a wonderful technique to try because it builds confidence quickly. You don’t have to color, stamp perfectly, or design from scratch. You just follow the steps and enjoy the process. And if you’ve been making cards for a long time, napkin cards are a great way to try something different and use supplies you may not normally think of for paper crafting. I love sharing ideas like this because they remind us that creativity doesn’t have to be complicated. Sometimes the simplest projects are the ones that bring the most joy — and the ones we actually finish and send.
