THE FAITH AND FANATICISM OF THE SISTERS OF BATTLE The ADEPTA SORORITAS, the Sisters of Battle, are the fanatical martial wing of the Adepus Ministorum - the Imperial Cult. Their fanatical zeal knows almost no bounds. A story about the Sisters of Battle and the horrific side of the warhammer universe. I often get told that much of the callous disregard for life in the setting is not congruent. Alas, that is the entire point of the warhammer 40K setting. it is illogical, barbaric and ultimately just an escape from our own existences. Its a horror setting. No matter what happens, all individuals are almost worthless in the scope of the grand tragic dramas that are played out. It is called the grim dark as it is utterly without merit and nothing you do seems to matter. This is because it is a campaign setting, not really a narrative. Its lore is rich and deep and awesomely amusing, but it is just that, stories. They should never remove the tension and reason for the factions to fight, as this is a game setting. A game revolving around battles. So it has to be mad. Because the only positive thing that comes from the setting is being able to leave it and state to yourself, no matter how badly things are going at the present, they could always always be worse.
