Drugs are one of the cornerstones in cancer treatment; much of the progress we have made over the past few decades can be credited to many life-saving and life-extending drugs. But what goes on behind the scenes in the lab? How do scientists discover new drugs, and how can these be ‘designed’? What makes a good medicine, and what are the challenges we face?
