He is a member of the California Narcotics Officers Team of the year and recipient of the San Diego Sheriff's Meritorious Unit Citation. He is an experienced international advisor, certified World Customs Organization Instructor, and has provided capacity building in the U.S., Mexico, Central America, and Ghana. He has worked in high-risk environments of Tijuana, Baja California, Mexico, Guatemala City, Guatemala, and the Darien Province in Panama. Alex is a published author and experienced public speaker and subject matter expert in cross border investigations and cartels operating in the Baja California Region of Mexico.
