オンラインセミナー「コザ騒動を世界の視点で」

The Koza Riot/Uprising took place in the early morning hours of December 20, 1970. In order to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the uprising, we at OMI held an event titled ‘Revisiting the Koza Uprising in Global Perspectives’. During the event, we were given the opportunity to hear from a photojournalist present at the time, Kuniyoshi Kazuo, a U.S. serviceperson who recalled the time period in which the event took place, Stan Rushworth, and a scholar who spoke on some more of the broad implications of the uprising, Wesley Uenten. ------------- This event was held in collaboration with The Humanities Institute, at UC Santa Cruz, a hub for academic research, cross-discipline collaboration, and public engagement. The Humanities Institute incubates ideas and fosters innovation by funding projects, centers, and research clusters that enable faculty and students to work on some of the biggest problems of our day. ------------- Connect with us on social media!
