Changing spark plugs and Wires on a Dodge Viper Gen II V10 Although my 2000 Viper doesn't have many miles on it, it is 11 years old so I decided to replace the plugs and wire. I was afraid the plugs would be hard to get out after 11 years but they all came out easy. The job was easy no special tool just a socket, 2 extensions (one a wobble extension) and ratchet. no U joints of anything to get any of the 10 plugs out. To remove the cowl and heater intake box just a screwdriver and a nut driver. I did use a small puller to get the wiper off. I used dielectric grease on both boots of all the plug wires. I also used the good nickel anti-seize on all the plugs before putting them in the aluminum heads. Total time about a hour and a half.
