For the devout soldiers who achieved this victory, it was seen as a divine sign. In the aftermath, a messianic movement aligned with the nationalist right emerged, vehemently opposing any territorial concessions and actively preparing for the next stage: the reconstruction of the Jewish Temple in place of the holy mosques.
