In this Video Lecture, Professor Fink presents the use of a spirometer to measure Lung Volumes and explains a patient's Pulmonary Function Test. Reference is made to Residual Volume (RV), Expiratory Reserve Volume (ERV), Functional Residual Capacity (FRC), Tidal Volume (TV), Inspiratory Reserve Volume (IRV), Total Lung Capacity (TLC), Forced Vital Capacity (FVC), Forced Expiratory Volume (FEV1), and FEV1/FVC %. Professor Fink also explains the computation of Minute Ventilation and compares it with Alveolar Minute Ventilation. Reference is made to the Dead Space (Conducting Division). In this Video Lecture, Professor Fink describes some of the clinical methods for evaluating disorders & pathologies of the Brain. Reference is made to Angiograms, CT Scans, PET Scans, MRIs and EEGs.
