Mitsubishi Singapore was contracted to replace 1990s Fujitec installations in HDB blocks that did not comply with LUP specifications under the Selective Lift Replacement Program (SLRP). A possible explanation of replacing these elevators is that the local Singapore Fujitec factory is no longer in production, and so maintenance of these older Fujitecs and finding its spare parts are increasingly challenging. These Mitsubishi Electric installations, manufactured in China, can be distinguished from the earlier Mitsubishi batches by the use of the distinctive bing, squarish cab design, newer style floor button fixtures and a different window frame design. They retain the same floor stopping pattern, even if that meant that the elevators remain limited stops.
