Summary | Aging of human cells has been considered an irreversible life phenomenon until now. In this study, we developed the world's first reverse aging technology that can reversible. To this end, this researcher built and simulated a cell aging molecular regulatory network model of human dermal fibroblasts to discover PDK1 (3-phosphoinositide-dependent protein kinase 1) as a reversible target for cell aging, molecular cell experiments and an aging artificial skin model. Through an experiment, it was confirmed that when PDK1 was inhibited in human dermal fibroblasts, the senescence markers disappeared and the function of normal cells that responded appropriately to the surrounding environment was restored. The developed original technology can provide insight into potential therapeutic strategies to treat rejuvenation and geriatric diseases, including improvement of skin aging, and contribute to extending the healthy lifespan of mankind. In particular, Amorepacific R&D Center is developing cosmetics that improve the wrinkles of aging skin by extracting the PDK1 inhibitor found this time from the camellia extract from the results of this research.
