IN STEREO! The PMC Band ventured into the Big Apple twice during 1965 with great enjoyment and satisfaction. The first trip on March 17th was to the annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade for the grand and cold march along Fifth Avenue. After the parade, the cadets were turned loose on NYC for an afternoon and evening of R&R. The Band's second NYC trip in May was to the prestigious National ROTC Band Association competition at the ’64 - ’65 New York World’s Fair. The Band placed Second, overall, but took home the First Place trophy as the top 1965 ROTC Marching Band. The original movie footage and audio recording for this video was coordinated by Dave Rittman PMC ’65 and a staff of PMC Band member cadets. Andy Fraser PMC ’67 produced this video in 2016. Pennsylvania Military College (PMC) became Widener College (later University) in 1972. For more info, please contact the PMC Museum at Widener University. A DVD titled "PMC - Pass in Review" is available featuring movies and music from PMC's past. Call 610-499-1189. MUSIC DISCLAIMER: No copyright is claimed, or implied. This is a 50 + year-old recording of a great college band's performance of distinguished American composers' tunes.
