The quiet and picturesque Graciosa is the second smallest island on the Azores archipelago, despite the small size its attractions for divers are many and doesn´t require to travel long distances to find good spots. The most famous dive in Graciosa Island is probably the wreck "Terceirense". This 40 meters long vessel sank in 1968 during a journey between islands and now rests at 21 meters deep. As in the rest of the Azores islands, Graciosa have also interesting caves. "Gruta do Carapacho" is a small cave that stands out for its beautiful lighting effects. The diving offers many schools of pelagic fish, dusky groupers and colourful stretches of black coral. The visibility will amase you for sure, the views for the sea mounts are breathtaking. A tranquila e pitoresca Graciosa é a segunda menor ilha do arquipélago dos Açores, apesar da pequena dimensão as suas atracções para os mergulhadores são muitas e não necessita de percorrer longas distâncias para encontrar bons locais. O mergulho mais famoso da Ilha Graciosa é provavelmente o naufrágio "Terceirense". Este navio de 40 metros afundou em 1968 durante uma viagem entre as ilhas e agora repousa a 21 metros de profundidade. Tal como nas restantes ilhas dos Açores, a Graciosa também possui grutas interessantes. A Gruta do Carapacho é uma pequena gruta que se destaca pelos belos efeitos de iluminação. O mergulho oferece muitos cardumes de peixes pelágicos, Meros e coral negro. A visibilidade irá surpreendê-lo, as vistas para os montes marinhos são deslumbrantes.
