28th Meeting of the ASEAN Coordinating Committee on Electronic Commerce and Digital Economy (ACCED)

The 28th Meeting of the ASEAN Coordinating Committee on Electronic Commerce and Digital Economy (ACCED), chaired by the Department of Trade and Industry’s (DTI) E-Commerce Bureau (ECB) and supported by the Bureau of International Trade Relations (BITR), was held in Pasay City, Philippines from 2–3 February 2026. As ASEAN’s work on e-commerce and the digital economy accelerates, ACCED continues to play a crucial role in shaping a more connected, inclusive, and trusted regional digital landscape. The Meeting featured substantive exchanges on regulatory policy developments across ASEAN Member States, implementation of the ASEAN Agreement on Electronic Commerce, and progress under the Bandar Seri Begawan Roadmap for digital transformation A key highlight was the endorsement of one of the Philippines’ Priority Economic Deliverables (PEDs), the Signing of the ASEAN Digital Economy Framework Agreement (DEFA). ACCED leads also also discussed ongoing ACCED projects and partner-supported initiatives, reflecting ASEAN’s collective commitment to strengthening the region’s digital economy ecosystem and ensuring MSMEs and consumers can fully participate in, and benefit from ASEAN digital transformation agenda.
