New Pickups for my Gibson ES-335! Sunbear PAF first impressions

A quick “first impressions” video of my new @sunbear_pickups PAF pickups. Make sure you stick around for the overdriven tones.. they’ll take your f**king head off! 😍✌🏻 I’m already in love with these things!.. The difference they’ve made to my already lovely Gibson ES-335 is absolutely astonishing! Added liveliness and sparkle, tamed the inherently honky mids of a semi-hollow, and tightened up the lows with added attack and definition. Big thanks to tech extraordinaire @dick_fontaine who did fast and impeccable work to get these fitted in my 335. The build quality and customer service matches the tone 100%.. which is quite the achievement, so thank you so much my friend. Looking forward to buying you a beer when we finally get to meet face to face! In this short video, I’m running my @gibsoncustom ES-335 through some of my favourite pedals. Firstly @decibelics Golden Horse “Klon(e)” @greeramps Lightspeed @browneamplification fantastic new “Atom” I run through all 3 pickup positions for each one. The amp is my trusty @lazyjprojects Lazy J20.. I’ve had this beautiful thing for 10 years now and it never fails to get the best out of my gear. Truly amazing amplifier. @strymonengineering flint providing a touch of reverb. Decided to change things up a bit and NOT use the OX Box for a change.. went old school and mic’d up with a blend of the @openplanrecording “grill” r121 style ribbon mic, and my 30 year old @shure sm57.
