We built a greenhouse on our ranch. It is a 12' x 16' polycarbonate structure using some existing material we had plus of course quite a bit we had to purchase. After trying a kit from Costco and it failing dismally, we opted to just try our hand out at building one ourselves. So we went from a section of our yard that was inside our inner fencing and established the foundation for the structure all the way through putting up the shelving and watering system inside of it. This video will show step by step what was done to build our greenhouse. This first video here is all centered around the foundation. From digging the trench to applying the two rows of cinder block to putting in chat (pea gravel) in and around the foundation.. This first phase took a full week of work to complete. If you have any questions about this first phase feel free to comment below. In a future video we'll show the process of framing and putting together the bones so to speak of the structure. Main tools used: Flat Head Shovel Pick Axe Stakes Masonry String Mini Sledge Hammer Wheel Barrow levels (2 ft, 3 ft, 4 ft, 6 ft and small) We used standard 8" x 8" x 16" cinder block (72 blocks for the two rows total).
