In this video we share how to insulate stud walls with Rockwool. If your home feels hot in the summer or cold in the winter, this can help a lot. http://www.homerepairtutor.com/how-to... Admittedly this is video is only good if you've torn town your drywall or plaster walls to the studs. But you might be demoing your house at any moment for whatever reason :) We remodeled our master bathroom and I decided to use Rockwool for all the exterior walls, plus the interior ones where we wanted extra soundproofing. Of course there are tons of different kinds of insulation to choose from. But I like Rockwool specifically because it's made from stone fibers. This in turn gives it more fire resistance than traditional fiberglass insulation. If you don't believe me then check out this awesome video • Fire Testing Insulation Materials By the way, the video link above also tests a ton of different types of insulation. So if you start from the beginning it is very educational. I should have done my own fire test but ran out of time. Dang it. Of course, make sure you pre-test Super Clean to be sure it won't You can use Rockwool to easily insulate walls or ceilings. Just make sure to wear the right protective clothing: long sleeve shirt, respirator, gloves, goggles, etc. The tiny fibers are itchy and you don't wan't to breathe them into your lungs (but this is the case for any insulation). Check out our video to see how easy Rockwool is to install. For me it's a no brainer and an ironclad solution to the fear of fire. If Rockwool doesn't burn at 2000F then it will give me and my family a chance to escape our burning house (if heaven forbid we're in that terrible situation!!!)
