US Army Will Use This New Stryker ICVVA1 to Replace Stryker Dragoon in 2025

The U.S. Army’s Program Executive Office (PEO) for Ground Combat Systems announced a significant upgrade for three Stryker formations over the next three years, with the introduction of the ICVVA1-30mm package. This upgrade, set to replace the current ICVD “Dragoon” vehicles, will provide much-needed enhancements to firepower and overall capability. While both the ICVD and the new ICVVA1 models are equipped with a turret-mounted 30mm main gun, the ICVD had a vulnerability related to the storage of its 30mm ammunition, identified by the Army in FY2017. The ICVVA1-30mm package is expected to resolve this issue.
