Jordan River. Holy River of Israel. I visited and filmed the river at two accessable locations in Israel: 1.) At Jordan estuary from the Sea of Galillee at Yardenit, Kibbutz Kinneret 2.) Near Jericho at Qasr al Yahud (from 07:29 minute in the video). Second location is the site of Lord's Baptism, place of Elijah ascention to heaven in fiery chariot, place of Israelites crossing the Jordan during Exodus, place of healing of Naaman from leprosy (2 Kings ). We drove a car between 2 sites along Jordan river by highway 90 (Gandi road, crosses the portion of West Bank with 1 Israeli checkpoint). Keep in mind that baptismal site at Qasr al Yahud (site of baptism of Jesus Christ) is a guarded area (border with Jordan) and closes at 4 pm daily.
