Chiang Mai is one of our favourite cities in Thailand, and in this video we explore some of the best things to do, see, and eat while visiting. From taking a Thai cooking class and learning about northern Thai food, to wandering through local markets, eating our way through street food stalls, and trying iconic dishes like Khao Soi, Chiang Mai really surprised us. We visit popular markets like Chiang Mai Gate Market, Jing Jai Market, and Khlong Mae Kha Market, relax in some of the city’s chill cafes, and head slightly out of town for one of the best meals of the trip at Neng’s Clay Oven Roasted Pork. We also finish with a riverfront dinner at Samsen Villa, complete with live Thai music — and a reminder that in Thailand, spending more money doesn’t always mean better food.
