Follow Barbara and Tara (her 2023 Tesla Y) as she car camps from the Mendocino Coast of California to Kansas as she attends her 60th SE high school reunion. Along the way, Barbara will visit as many museums and areas of interest as she can fit in. She will learn a great many new skills such as honing her knowledge of GoPro, Canon R6, Adobe Premiere Rush, YouTube channel and the never-ending learning curve of driving a Tesla. All the while learning camping skills she didn't even know existed, plus having the time of her life doing it all. This video is about visiting the Muscogee National Capitol in Okmulgee, Oklahoma. It is a 15 minute video because I narrated the posters from each room. I only photographed the first floor as the second floor is not historically correct, a decision I regret now. The storyboards were the most complete and fully factual of any of the American Indian museums I visited. There was very little to divert the mind from really understanding what really happened when the white man took the Indian’s land and attempted genocide of the tribes. Most tribal museums are so full of beautiful cultural artifacts that it overshadows the “story”. I appreciate the museums that venerate the artistry of their tribes, but this is a story that needs to be told over and over. The truth needs to be taught in our schools. I grew up in Oklahoma and my family’s history is part of this ugly story. I just wanted to know what really happened.
