Ansaru Terrorism Trial Resumes in Abuja Court

The Federal High Court in Abuja has resumed the trial of two alleged Ansaru members, Mahmud Usman and Abubakar Abba, accused of leading a terrorist organisation, coordinating kidnappings, undergoing weapons and IED training, and taking part in an attack on a Nigerian Army cantonment in Kainji, Niger State. At the last sitting, Usman was sentenced to 15 years after pleading guilty to one of the 32 terrorism charges.
