The seeds were planted during World War II, when Allied forces liberated Nazi-occupied Italy, and have since taken root and blossomed into an an 80-year long affair – and "affair" is probably the right word. Because baseball is a collective "passion," says Mario Trinci, catcher and son of Nettuno Baseball Club's founder Guglielmo.
