What does it truly mean to be made in the image of God? From the very beginning of Scripture, we see a God who creates, forms, and brings things into existence. In Genesis, different words are used to describe God’s creative work—revealing not only His power, but His intentional design. Humanity was created differently from the rest of creation: we were made in His image. The concept of Imago Dei reminds us that human beings carry something divine within them. We were designed with the capacity to imagine, create, dream, and shape the world around us. Yet as we grow older, life, disappointment, and societal expectations often push us to “be realistic” rather than to believe. In this message we explore: • The creative nature of God in Genesis • Why children naturally live with faith, imagination, and freedom • How adulthood can suppress vision and possibility • The tension between “being realistic” and living by faith • The restoration of the soul through faith, hope, and love Jesus tells us that the Kingdom of God belongs to those who receive it like a child. Childlike faith allows us to see beyond present limitations and trust God with what seems impossible. Like Peter stepping out of the boat, faith requires us to move beyond fear and respond to the call of Christ. The journey of faith continues — and the marathon is not finished.
