Former 16th Tactical Reconnaissance Squadron pilot Pat Johnson flew the legendary RF-4C Phantom II throughout the 1980s. Decades later, he made a remarkable visit to the Royal Military Museum in Brussels where by remarkable coincidence, the last preserved aircraft from his squadron is now on public display. In this special video, Pat is reunited with his former jet and shares powerful memories and firsthand insights from his time flying the RF-4C. Through his personal testimony, he brings the aircraft’s history to life. During his visit, Pat also generously donated several pieces of his personal U.S. Air Force equipment to the museum. These items will be carefully preserved in the collection, helping future generations understand the story of the aircraft, the squadron, and the people who served.
