Emmerdale spoilers revealed her nephew Lachlan White (Thomas Atkinson) would almost kill her in a dramatic collision. Rebecca remained in a coma for weeks, while Lachlan's mother Chrissie White (Louise Marwood) and grandfather Lawrence White (John Bowe) didn't survive. Ever since Rebecca woke from her coma, the mother-of-one hasn't quite been herself. Last week, Rebecca threatened Victoria Barton (Isabel Hodgins) with a hot iron after becoming enraged by her critique. And tonight, Rebecca dashed out of the house to buy some painkillers and forgot to take a pan off of the stoke, leaving her baby son Seb home alone in a smoke-filled room. Thankfully, Aaron Dingle (Danny Miller) spotted the blaze before any harm could come to him. It has been becoming clear that Rebecca's health is in decline, and she is in no state to look after Seb alone, and tonight it was confirmed by a doctor. Seb's dad Robert Sugden (Ryan Hawley), Aaron and Victoria took her to hospital, where the consultant revealed the news they had feared. "There is some evidence of reduced blood flow to your brain," a doctor said. "Which means what?" Rebecca asked, beginning to tear up. The consultant went on to explain that Rebecca could be suffering from Executive Dysfunction, which is the lifelong brain condition that effects emotional and behavioural functions. She added: "I'll refer you to a neuropsychologist. They're far better equipped to diagnose." With the brain damage making her a danger to her young son, will Rebecca be forced to hand over baby Seb to Robert and Aaron? Emmerdale continues tomorrow night at 7pm on ITV.
