Most of the hand dryers in this video are now gone, and these videos are all that remain of them, let's go in order of each one like with the self checkout compilations! Sainsbury's Chiswick has cycled through several Airforces due to the poor reliability of them, the typical airforce only lasts between 1-5 years. Ever since I started filming hand dryers, the dryer has been replaced TWICE! However, once the current airforce breaks, it will most likely be replaced with a Mitsubishi as Sainsbury's contract with PHS has ended. I'm not sure when Starbuck's Chiswick opened, but I believe it was between the early to mid 2000s. The 2 toilets there had HOKWANG hand dryers until 2007 when the disabled toilet one was replaced with a Mediclinics Optima, the one in the unisex remained until 2011 when it was replaced with an Excel Dryer Xlerator! Unfortunately, when I filmed the mediclinics optima in 2022, the unisex was out of order, and a couple of weeks after, both hand dryers were replaced with PHS airstreams. This starbucks store recently closed down due to a vet moving in. The Old Ship Pub in Richmond had Warner Howard XA48s from the early 2000s for a very long time, the one in the gents was replaced with a warner howard EL600 in 2018, this EL600 lasted until 2021 when it was replaced with a nasty PHS SM48, unsurprisingly it only lasted 2 years, and in 2023 it was replaced with a PHS Warner Howard EL1100 (which is just an EL600 but with a heating element) 2022 was my first time visiting that specific set of V&A's toilets. That year they had Dolphin branded HK-JAs. When I went again in 2023, both HK-JAs were replaced with Biodrier branded Xinda GSQ-90s. The one in the accessible remains, and I managed to find an october 2016 build date, which is why I assume 2017. Cafe Nero Chiswick had Warner Howard LE48s, but in 2023 they were randomly replaced with Dryflow branded AIKE AK2630 hand dryers. Although I much prefer the Dryflow AIKE, it is a shame the LE48 is gone as it's quite rare. McDonalds richmond has cramped toilets. That's all there is interesting to say really. The Airdri Classic+ MK2 needed to be replaced as a fire broke out in that mcdonalds in 2023 (Unrelated to the hand dryer). There is now a quantum in its place. Paul's Richmond had a nice XLERATOReco in 2022. Unfortunately Paul's fell victim to the airstream virus. When I went to Brighton Train Station for the first time, all the hand dryers were old xa48s from the early 2000s. In the late 2010s, they were all replaced with newer PHS xa48s. The reliability of the A series has drastically declined since 2005, and these newer XAs only lasted until 2023 when they were replaced with PHS Airstreams. Starbucks Hammersmith opened in 2023, and for the first month, it had Mitsubishi Jet Towel Smart hand dryers, presumably inherited from the previous place. Unsurprisingly, like all Starbucks stores in london, they hand dryer was replaced with a PHS Airstream. Byron Westfield had one of the oldest xlerators I filmed, presumably being original to the centre in 2008 judging by the serial on some units. In 2024 after roughly 15 years in service, it was replaced with a newer xlerator. Peter Jones had white Dyson AB03s in most toilets. The one i filmed broke later in 2022, and remained broken until the end of 2023 when it was replaced with a second hand AB03 in Grey. I've only been to the spotted horse pub twice. Once in 2022 and another in 2024, in 2022 the gents had SM48s, the ladies had WD airstreams, and the disabled had an ultradry LE. In 2024 all hand dryere were replaced with PHS EL1100s. Sainsbury's richmond, much like chiswick, cycles through various airforces. When I filmed it, both of the hand dryers were WH units. They were replaced with PHSWH ones at different points in 2023. Esso RONTEC chiswick roundabout had WH airforces from when it was taken over by rontec until 2023 when the one in the unisex was replaced with a newer PHSWH one. This only lasted one year as the entire site was refurbished in 2024 with new airforces being installed. Finally, old town hall richmond had a rare Anda that was installed all the way back in 1988! Meaning it lasted a whopping 36 years until its replacement!
