土曜日の午後2時、何分までは定かではない。疲労や不安が要因だろうか、気づいたら長い休憩に身を委ねてしまっていた。 ・・・ 　恐怖するほど暗いと感じる家の中、ベッドにいると感じたので電気をつけようと立ちあがろうとした。するとたちまち視界は闇に覆われ『助けて』という文字列が無数に網膜を覆い尽くした。同時に、頭から足元までを内側から破裂するような耐え難い苦痛に見舞われた。そしてまたベッドの上で、生きている感覚を取り戻す。 　気分が悪くなり、窓の外を見た。そこにあったのは、膝下まで水没したピンク色の街。不自然なほど明瞭な公園の遊具がぽつりと立ち尽くしていた。そしてまた暗転し、『助けて』の文字列が目を覆い隠す。 ・・・ 　ついに現実世界に帰還した。繰り返すループを抜け出し安堵するも束の間、迫り来る期限に怯えながら、いつもより少ない休日の破片をただ消化するのであった。 ➖➖➖➖➖ 少し脚色されてるものの、ほぼこの投稿の前日談です。そこからインスピレーションを受け、音楽を一日で完成させました。 It was 2:00 PM on a Saturday; the exact minute is unclear. Perhaps due to fatigue or anxiety, I found myself surrendering to a long, deep rest before I knew it. ... Inside the house, which felt terrifyingly dark, I realized I was in bed and tried to stand up to turn on the light. Instantly, my vision was engulfed in darkness, and countless strings of text screaming "HELP ME" plastered over my retinas. Simultaneously, I was struck by an unbearable pain, as if my body were exploding from the inside out, from head to toe. Then, I found myself back on the bed, regaining the sensation of being alive. Feeling sick, I looked out the window. There lay a pink-hued city, submerged in water up to the knees. In the midst of it, playground equipment stood alone with an unnatural, vivid clarity. Then, darkness fell again. The string of characters, "HELP ME," covered my eyes once more. ... Finally, I returned to the real world. The relief of escaping the repeating loop was fleeting. Trembling at approaching deadlines, I spent the remaining fragments of my shortened holiday simply digesting time. ➖➖➖➖➖ Though slightly embellished, this is almost exactly what happened the day before this post.
