Kadalebele is nothing but chana dal/Bengal gram and holige is also called as puran poli in Maharashtra, Obbattu in some parts of Karnataka and bobbatlu in Telangana & Andhra Pradesh. I have seen bobbatlu, obbattu & puran poli in thick texture where as holige from Udupi cuisine is very thin layered which melt in mouth.
