Updates about stuff I've learned. In short: the needle bar cannot be adjusted by removing the set-screw and turning the crank on the horizontal arm shaft. There's a hole in the shaft which the dog-point of the set-screw fits into, so it's not supposed to move from the position which it was manufactured. Regarding the Millard screw: Buyer beware! This is NOT part # 1134! IT WILL NOT WORK WITH ORIGINAL SINGER MODELS!! https://millardsewing.com/product/pfw... Although their website claims the screw is "for Singer 66, 99, 201, 221, & 222 Sewing Machines" that turns out not to be true. In email correspondence subsequent to this video's publication, Millard revealed that their screw will only work with "Alphasew clone Featherweight 221 machines." Millard's product information does not reveal this to the customer. Why? I have no frickin' clue. Their screw has no dog-point, and the thread-pitch is coarse. Millard's site needs to be updated and corrected to provide accurate information. Very unfortunate.
