Summary of this lesson: Marketing = increasing the perceived value of a product or service in the eyes of the consumer 2 ways to increase the perceived value: Increasing the actual value of the products/services Communicating the value that is there Half of marketing is improving the product/service itself by adding actual value to it You can add value by creating a more holistic health service that’s unique to your distinct set of skills and interests Include many different healing modalities (ex: massage, yoga, nature, arts, life coaching, etc.) Combine them in new ways Other ways to add value: location, ambience, convenience, information, experience, love, etc. The other half of marketing is done via communicating a message Communicating the value of your healing services helps people even if they never purchase your services because the message behind it is helpful Manifesting your dream clients Envision the sensory experience you receive from them Think about the ways they inspire you and how you can learn from them Attract relationships and clients from a place of abundance, not from scarcity Consider the abundance you can provide rather than expecting or needing an outcome from others Practice receiving the types of services you offer Puts you in the mindset of the clients Social Media NOT necessary, but it can definitely help Be a creator, not a consumer Phone on grayscale can help Medium of communication (2-way street) Number 1 rule: have fun! Use social media like a photo album that you can look back on in the future and see how much you’ve grown Don’t overthink it; be stupid, make mistakes, let the haters hate Put captions on videos (for accessibility and for the algorithm) Underrated tip: if you don’t know something, GOOGLE IT!
