Jim Steinman's THE DREAM ENGINE is the inaugural masterpiece from the pen of one of the world's most iconic and iconoclastic artists, originally performed at Amherst College in 1969. In 2019, exactly fifty years later, original director and star Barry Keating revisited the vision created alongside Steinman on the very stage where it was born, bringing together formidable forces both old and new to breathe fresh life into the hallowed - veritably holy - musical phantasmagoria. Something magic, something new. A once in a lifetime special event commemorating its epic debut, THE DREAM ENGINE 2019 is led by BAT OUT OF HELL: THE MUSICAL breakout headliner Andrew Polec, with a company including special guest appearances by venerable alumni Mimi Kennedy and Larry Dilg alongside featured players JaLeesa Beavers and David Schecter. The Tribe is comprised of John Blair, Larissa Craford-Lazarus, Richard Fusco, Jenine Jacinto, Kayla Juntilla, Drita Kabashi, Alfonzo Kahlil, Epiphany Samuels and Sebastian Son. Musical direction is provided by Drew Wutke with a band comprised of Nick Fowler, Joseph Wallace, Jeremy Yaddaw and Hajime Yoshida. THE DREAM ENGINE 2019 was directed by Barry Keating and Ellen Parks, with Pat Cerasaro acting as production creative consultant and Julian Brown as stage manager. Videography by Jon Bremner.
