The Livre d'Orgue of Nicolas de Grigny (1672-1703) is a monument of the French Classical organ literature, consisting of a full mass setting as well as five Hymns, including a setting of Veni Creator. The setting is comprised of the following five sections: 1. Veni Creator en taille a 5 (Plein Jeu) 2. Fugue a 5 3. Duo 4. Recit de Cromorne 5. Dialogue sur les grands Jeux I'm working on improving my video editing skills and experimenting with new software, so you'll find a few things here that are brand new to me, such as some fade in/out transitions between movements and the insertion of some parts of the score at various places. Still lots to learn, but I'm trying to find ways to make these videos more interesting. Feel free to leave ideas and suggestions of your own in the comments! For this performance, I have chosen to use the Hauptwerk sample set of the 1714 Boizard organ of St. Michel en Thiérache, produced by Sonus Paradisi.
