Josée di Stasio, host of the long-running television show à la di Stasio, has a new show on Téle-Québec to replace it. It’s called, simply, di Stasio. If the hugely popular di Stasio spent a great deal of time in the kitchen cooking with well-known chefs in her first show, here she gets out into the community to talk to chefs and others about food and cooking. The Montreal Gazette tagged along as she filmed a segment on panettone for the Christmas episode, set to air Dec. 9. She spent some time in the kitchen with Jeffrey Finkelstein, owner of the St- Laurent Blvd. bakery/patisserie Hof Kelsten, as he prepared and baked some of the sweet bread loaves usually prepared for Christmas in Italy and other countries.
