(Pang Type II) Diastematomyelia | Dysraphism of spine | MRI LUMBO-SACRAL SPINE AND TIM Patient history: LBP, Lower Lumber region swelling. In this video MR Study reveals ✓MR images reveal dysraphism of spine involving posterior elements of lumbo-sacral vertebrae. Spina bifida is noted involving L3 to S2 segments. At the level of bony defect there is increase amount of fatty tissue, however no herniation of dura noted. ✓The sagittal clefting of cord into two symmetrical hemi cords is seen extending from D10 level to L4 level S/O (pang type II) diastematomyelia. Both these hemi-cords are lying into single dural-arachnoid tube & seen reunited at L4 level. Cord is seen low lying & tethered dorsally at L4 level. .
