At some point in time in Indian history, education was a prerogative of certain privileged class. So all the scriptures and religious books which were written in Sanskrit were beyond the bounds of commoners. They were dependent on these privileged classes to understand what our scriptures said and it was open to multiple interpretations sometimes confusing and other times conflicting. So there was a cry to better understand the messages in these scriptures. Kabir Sahib brought that revolution in the world. From the end of 13th century till early 15th century he lived on the earth and spoke the language that most masses could understand. This transformed the masses and made them his disciples in hordes.
