Cooking generates about 20% of sub-Saharan Africa's climate emissions and poses severe health risks and economic burdens, especially for women, children, and the lowest income families. The Clean Cooking Alliance's (CCA) "Ending Cooking Poverty in Africa" initiative seeks to empower national governments to lead locally owned and sustained clean energy transitions. This video is part of CCA's application for the MacArthur Foundations’ 100&Change grant, which provides $100 million to fund a single proposal that promises real and measurable progress in solving a critical problem of our time.
