★ピニンファリーナ 2000スパイダー アズーラ(Type124)に関して 1966年、フィアット124シリーズに同じピニンファリーナのデザイン・車体製作による2ドアスパイダーが登場。 シャシーはベルリーナとほぼ共通の設計ながら、ホイールベースが短縮されており、エンジンも当初からタイミングベルトを用いたDOHC形式が採用されていた。 当時としては四輪ディスクブレーキ・DOHCエンジン・5速ギアボックスを完備した、非常に進歩的な設計であった。 また、ソフトトップの構造も独創的で、後方視界を確保するための後部側面ガラスを有しており、幌をたたむ際にボディ内に収納されるようになっている。 1982年、車名からフィアットが外され、ボディ製造を行っていたカロッツェリア「ピニンファリーナ」のブランド名で、「ピニンファリーナ2000スパイダー」として発売された。 基本的な部分はフィアット・スパイダー2000と同じであるが、ピニンファリーナエンブレム、ドアノブ、フロントフードおよびトランクリッドの開閉機構、シート形状、ドア内張り、トノカバー取付方法、デジタル時計の追加、メーター周りの意匠、後部座席の廃止（一部では収納機能の追加）、メタリックカラーのボディ色、幌のカラーバリエーション追加、14インチのアルミホイールなど、高級感の向上を企図した各種の変更が施され、1985年まで製造された。 モデルバリエーションとしては、 ・ピニンファリーナ2000スパイダー・ヨーロッパ ・ピニンファリーナ2000スパイダー・アズーラ（Azzura/青） ・ピニンファリーナ2000スパイダー・VX（Volmex） があった。 搭載される直列4気筒DOHCエンジンは、1995ccの排気量とボッシュ社製燃料噴射装置により、最高出力110psを発揮した。 ★About the Pininfarina 2000 Spider Azzurra (Type 124) In 1966, a two-door spider, also designed and built by Pininfarina, was introduced to the Fiat 124 series. While the chassis was largely the same as the Berlina, the wheelbase was shortened, and the engine was a DOHC configuration with a timing belt from the start. It was a highly progressive design for its time, featuring four-wheel disc brakes, a DOHC engine, and a five-speed gearbox. The soft-top also had an ingenious structure, with rear side glass for improved rearward visibility and retracting into the body when folded. In 1982, the word Fiat was dropped from the car's name, and the car was released as the "Pininfarina 2000 Spider" under the brand name of the carmaker, Pininfarina. While the car's basic components were the same as the Fiat Spider 2000, various changes were made to enhance its luxurious feel, including the Pininfarina emblem, door handles, front hood and trunk lid opening and closing mechanisms, seat shape, door lining, tonneau cover attachment method, addition of a digital clock, meter design, elimination of the rear seats (with the addition of storage space in some models), metallic body colors, additional soft top color variations, and 14-inch aluminum wheels. It was produced until 1985.
