Halloween Paddleboarding for Black Drum

November is a good time to fish for black drum. It was a bit early, being October 31, but there were a fair amount of drum around, and I managed to catch two keepers. I also wanted to flounder gig one last time, as the flounder season closes Nov 1 - Dec 14. No dice on the flounder. When I got back to the boat ramp, a vehicle came out of the dark and, for a second there, I was a little worried. I was relieved to see the TPWD emblem on the side of the vehicle. They were watching me tooling around in the dark on the far side of the ICW, lol. Another good night to be fishing. But then, it's always a good night to go fishing.
