No-Commentary playthrough of "Eavesdropping" (T2Fix 1.27) Expert Difficulty cw: arachnophobia "He'd kill us if he got the chance" Mark We made short work of the looting here, but the video is still pretty long thanks to the double-cutscene and the loooong conversation between Karras and Truart (plus Karras' comments afterward.) Fun fact: the key has 14 random spawn locations on this map, and we got extremely lucky in drawing the easiest one for the video. Zero save-scumming or re-rolling was involved in this outcome, we just got first-time-lucky the old-fashioned way. We encounter a Mechanist servant for the first time here, and these guys are super creepy. We consigned this one to a fairly cruel but symbolic fate - anyway, the servant can hardly suffer worse in an unconscious state than it does when awake. I'm sure someone will find it down there... eventually. We also encountered the Mechanist's robot guards for the first time. We see one of the big ones briefly, but it doesn't get in our way at all. Later, we get close to one of the smaller ones down in the workshop, and we disable it in a way that demonstrates how they are totally blind until alerted. Exercise caution: There are spiders in the opening cinematic scene of this video - the 'Keepers Scene' chapter. These are not in-game spiders but an animated depiction shown during a cutscene. After the cutscene, no spiders are seen. Please note that the in-game subtitles do include somewhat frequent transcription errors, and should be read with caution. Full disclosure: This is an edited compilation that includes quite a few quick-saves and quick-loads. The editing is meant to be relatively seamless, but not intended to be deceptive. We make no secret of the fact that many, many, many quick-loads were used in the making of this video. The gamma (brightness) is set quite high so that you, the viewer, are better able to view the game. One small wrinkle: by default the game has keyboard shortcuts for raising and lowering the gamma setting. These were not disabled, and we did bump the keys a few times during gameplay, so you may occasionally notice a slight variation in the gamma setting throughout the video. We regret the oversight.
