Rio De Janerio is the second-largest city in Brazil. There are over 700 different Favelas in Rio de Janeiro alone. Join me as I walk through the community and learn about Rochina the largest Favela in Brazil. With over 200,000 people living here it is an amazing place to visit. I went to Brazil by myself and initially was only going to get a guide through the Favelas but he threw an awesome deal at me that included The Christ Redentor Statue and Lapa stairs and sugarloaf mountain along with the favelas. I normally would not want a guide or anyone with me while exploring but now I am open to it because Obi speaks great English, Spanish, and Native fluent Portuguese. This is great because he can translate prices and rules etc to you. He will also take a bunch of pictures and videos of you even when you forget about it. Another thing is he has a quick pass for the Christ statue. If he was not with me I would have had to wait 45 minutes just to go down the mountain by train. He met me down in Copacabana and we caught an uber around all of the places. In the Favela, I learn some interesting facts. He mentioned that they have free health care in the Favelas. He also mentioned that electricity and water are also free over there. At night we ended up eating at this great restaurant inside Rocinha. By the time I ended up making it to the bottom of the favela, it was nighttime. I slipped down the stairs without any major injury besides some bruises and scratches. If you haven't noticed already I had been drinking all day since I was on the plane lol. So I am slurring a lot so please excuse me lol. In the incident that happen the guy just wanted to know if I smoked and why I was filming over there. He also wanted to know where I was from. Obi remained cool and translated and we left without incident. Learn about safety in Rio de Janeiro.
