So, this is actually my first time arranging for a concert band ensemble, or really any sort of ensemble of this size. I certainly didn't choose an easy song to arrange, either. I've never actually had the chance to play Final Fantasy VI, but this song has always stuck out to me. Uematsu is a brilliant composer, and this is definitely one of his finest works. Arranging this song for a wind ensemble was, in a word, intimidating. I wanted to challenge myself to avoid using any organ in this arrangement (since pretty much every arrangement I've found includes an organ in some way), which certainly came with its drawbacks. I hope that, nonetheless, I was able to justice to one of the greatest video game songs of all time.
