TLDR = Use Stam/Spirt or Stam/Int or a MIX of the 2 to tank and level. Use Seal of Wisdom and Judgement of Wisdom with Knightly Longsword starting at level 38 and beyond. Do 2-3 Consecrations then STOP CASTING and just regen mana. IF you do this you will need to drink NEVER or possibly every 4 pack pulls depending if Stam/Spirt or Stam/Int. This lines up perfectly with when healer needs to drink as well. IF you use SoR or a slow weapons = Drinking every 2 pack pulls = BAD Hold mana Pots in Reserve for emergencies. WHEN HEALING your paladin CANNOT Block, Dodge, or Parry. Healing your self when things get ugly is often better then Con Spaming to try to hold agro. Just be aware that Self-Healing lowers your defensive ability... another reason we paladind take 5/5 toughness and ARMOR TANK rather then EVATION TANK in Classic. So we can help with healing if need be. SoR = Boss fights. IMPORTANT!!! You NEED to JUDGE THE QUALITY OF YOUR HEALER... specifically in mana efficiency and how LOW they are willing to let your HP bar fall. BE VERY VERY VERY SUS towards other PALADIN Healers!!! They like to spam Flash of Light and NOTHING ELSE. These Apes will get you killed. Rule for Paladin healing... and by extension ANY good healer. Is to Spam FoL until tank gets to about -30% life aka 70% life left... then do a BIG Holy Light heal... by the time the HoL hits the tank... tank will be 50% Life. If a healers is letting your help drop to 30% before you catch big heals on the regular... BE VERY VERY SCARED and have a chat with your heals. Because they are waiting tell you are 50% life before charging the BIG 50% Life Heal... like an ape.
