My honest retrospective on Will Power’s Team Penske Era in IndyCar (2009-2025)

In 2005, Will Power raced in Champ Car for Teak Australia until the final race at Long Beach in 2008 and went to IndyCar for KV Racing. In 2009, Will Power was hired from Team Penske to race in Helio’s no. 3 for St. Petersburg while Helio Castroneves was dealing with his Tax Evasion case. After Helio returned to IndyCar, Team Penske built a 3rd IndyCar for Will Power in the no. 12 on a part-time run with Verizon and Penske Truck Rentals as a sponsor and scored his 1st IndyCar win (4th overall American Open Wheel Racing win) at Edmonton and had his season-ending crash at Sonoma. In 2010, Will Power would be racing for Team Penske full-time with Verizon as a sponsor and would accomplish a lot in his legendary career with wins, poles, and championships for the next 15 years! Starting in 2026, Will Power will be racing in Andretti Global’s no. 26 IndyCar team while Colton Herta will race in Formula 2 to begin potential journey to F1 while David Malukas replaces Will Power’s ride starting in 2026 as well. In this video, as a huge Will Power fan, I’ll be doing a retrospective for Will Power’s time in Team Penske and briefly explain what he has done and accomplished in his legendary career and give some of my thoughts as well in his Penske career and how I feel about it along with his Andretti Global ride in 2026!
