This is Don with DRC, I am replacing the bed knife on this mower and wanted to show you what to look for on a worn out bed knife. Look at the leadiing edge of the bed knife wear pattern, and as you will see the reel was beginning to double hit on thje bed knife. Not good. So I picked one up from Garden Grove Mower for a pretty good price. This old bed knife was completely worn out. The bed knife is a consumable part and needs to be replaced periodically just like the belts. I will be puttiing together a video mating the new bed knife to the old reel and depending how the owner of this mower ran over crap and did not ding the blade, amazing what a nail does to a bed knife and reel.
